Most people look at the world the way it is and ask, “why?” We look at the world the way it could be and ask,
“why not?”
Why Not Ministries started as a dream to provide meals to those who need them. Partnering with our local housing projects, we quickly identified many who could use a hot, prepared meal. In 2019 we started to deliver meals to these people and take on new clients. We currently deliver free meals twice a month to 180 people.
In 2021 we realized that there was still a much greater need that was not being met, so we began to plan for a facility that would provide meals at no charge to the community.
On September 19, 2022 we realized our dream and opened Why Not Ministries Community Kitchen. Here we provide no charge meals Monday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. On Fridays we open from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm selling Catfish, Chicken, and Such to help fund our ministry. We also sell prepared meals and cater as means of supporting ourselves.
All that we do is in response to Matthew 25:40 where Jesus says, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
